Proton, the Swiss privacy-focused company behind ProtonMail, has launched a non-custodial, self-custody Bitcoin wallet named Proton Wallet. This new wallet emphasizes privacy and security, allowing users to send and receive Bitcoin via email. The wallet is open-source and end-to-end encrypted, designed to make Bitcoin transactions as easy as sending an email. With over 100 million users, Proton aims to simplify Bitcoin usage while maintaining decentralization. Early access to Proton Wallet is now available.
