Proton Launches Self-Custodial Bitcoin Wallet for Over 100 Million Users

Proton, the Swiss company known for its privacy-focused email service ProtonMail, has launched Proton Wallet, a self-custodial Bitcoin wallet. The new wallet is open-source, end-to-end encrypted, and designed to make sending Bitcoin as easy as sending an email. Proton Wallet supports crypto transactions via email and aims to provide a safer and easier way for Bitcoin newcomers to get started. Early access to Proton Wallet is available starting today. ProtonMail has over 100 million users, as reported by TechCrunch.
