Ukrainian drones carried out an overnight attack on an oil facility in Russia's Oryol region, targeting the Steel Horse production control station, which is approximately 170 kilometers from the Ukrainian border. The facility, a crucial source of fuel supplies for Russian troops, was hit by drones, causing a significant fire that has continued to burn, with reports of a second tank catching fire. The attack resulted in no casualties, but damaged some homes in the region due to fragments from downed drones. Governor Andrei Klychkov confirmed the incident, noting that 11 drones were shot down over the region. This strike comes amidst heightened tensions, with Ukraine stepping up its drone attacks on Russian oil facilities, which it considers legitimate military targets aiding Russian troops in their ongoing invasion. Russia has labeled these attacks as 'terrorist acts'.
