Ukrainian drone strikes in Russia's Belgorod region resulted in the death of a 9-year-old boy and injuries to his mother and 7-month-old sister, as reported by local Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov. The attack targeted a home outside Belgorod, near the Ukrainian border. Additionally, Ukrainian drones struck a major oil terminal in the Oryol region, causing a significant fire which was later contained with no casualties reported. This incident occurred the day after Moscow launched a massive aerial attack on Ukraine, which President Volodymyr Zelenskyy described as one of the heaviest bombardments on the country's energy sector since Russia's full-scale invasion began almost three years ago. The strikes come amidst ongoing military actions, with Russia retaliating for a Ukrainian attack on a Russian air base using U.S.-supplied missiles. Ukraine's air force reported that Russia launched 132 drones across Ukrainian territory, with 58 being shot down and 72 veering off course, likely due to electronic jamming.
