Binance Executive Denied Bail in Nigeria Despite Health Concerns
Oct 11, 2024, 10:25 AM
A Nigerian court has denied bail for Binance executive Tigran Gambaryan, the company's Head of Financial Crime Compliance, who has been detained since February on charges of money laundering and currency manipulation. Despite health concerns cited by his family, including 'countless health scares', Justice Emeka Nwite of the Federal High Court in Abuja refused the bail application, reportedly due to it being improperly filed. Gambaryan is being held at Kuje prison, known for housing dangerous criminals.
