T.I. and Tiny Win $71 Million Jury Verdict in MGA Entertainment Lawsuit Over OMG Girlz
Sep 24, 2024, 01:31 PM
A California federal jury has awarded rapper T.I. and his wife, Tameka 'Tiny' Harris, $71 million in a lawsuit against MGA Entertainment. The lawsuit claimed that MGA's line of O.M.G. dolls infringed on the trade dress and misappropriated the name, likeness, and identity of the OMG Girlz, a pop group co-owned by T.I. and Tiny. The jury awarded $17,872,359 in real damages and $53,616,759 in punitive damages. The case, which has been ongoing since 2020, marks the third trial in this legal battle. The lawsuit also involved claims of violating the intellectual property rights of the OMG Girlz and included MGA's L.O.L. Surprise dolls.
