None of the oil tankers involved in a collision off the coast of Singapore were carrying Iranian crude oil, according to Iran’s Ministry of Petroleum. The incident, which occurred on Friday, involved the Ceres I oil tanker, a vessel previously implicated in violating US sanctions by transferring Iranian oil. Malaysia’s coast guard is currently tracking the whereabouts of the Ceres I. Tehran confirmed this information on Saturday.
