Mexico to Bus Migrants to U.S. Border with Police Escort
Sep 1, 2024, 04:01 PM
The Mexican government has announced a new initiative to transport migrants from its southern border to the United States border. This program will provide bus rides for migrants who have appointments through the CBP One application of the U.S. Customs and Border Protection. The transportation will be escorted by Mexican police and military forces. This development follows a meeting between U.S. Border Czar Kamala Harris and Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, although it is unclear if this was part of their discussions.
