Stellantis has announced plans to launch a demonstration fleet of all-new Dodge Charger electric vehicles incorporating Factorial's solid-state batteries by 2026. The new batteries are claimed to have over 390Wh/kg, which would significantly enhance EV performance. This initiative marks a significant step toward the commercialization of solid-state battery technology, with the cells being produced by Factorial Energy and tests to be conducted in the US. Stellantis plans to operate a test fleet of electric vehicles powered with solid-state batteries in two years’ time.
