Florida's William Braddock Indicted for Threatening to Kill Rep. Anna Paulina Luna with 'Hit Squad'
Sep 29, 2024, 11:02 AM
The U.S. Department of Justice has indicted William Robert Braddock III, a 41-year-old man from St. Petersburg, Florida, for allegedly threatening to kill his political opponent during the 2022 Republican primary race for Florida's 13th Congressional District. On June 8, 2021, Braddock is accused of threatening to "call up my Russian-Ukrainian hit squad" to assassinate his opponent, Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, who subsequently won the seat. After allegedly making the threats, Braddock fled to the Philippines but was recently deported and is now in custody. The indictment was unsealed on Friday, revealing the charges against him.
