Three Lebanese Civil Defense Members Killed in Israeli Attack, Hezbollah Retaliates
Sep 7, 2024, 04:34 PM
Three members of the Lebanese Civil Defense were killed and two others wounded, one critically, in an Israeli attack while they were extinguishing fires in the southern town of Froon, Lebanon's health ministry said. The incident occurred amid intensifying border fighting between Israel and Lebanon. Reports indicate that the civil defense vehicle was targeted by an Israeli drone strike. The Lebanese health ministry also reported that since October 2023, 25 paramedics and two health workers have been killed, with 94 others injured due to Israeli military attacks on southern Lebanon. The attack has sparked retaliation from Hezbollah. Additionally, drone sirens sounded in northern Israel.
