IDF Foils Hezbollah's Attempt to Launch DR-3 Cruise Missile with 300 kg Warhead from Lebanon
Sep 23, 2024, 05:12 AM
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has revealed that it thwarted an attempt by Hezbollah to launch a DR-3 cruise missile, which was smuggled from Syria and contained hundreds of kilograms of explosive material, including a 300 kg warhead. The missile was hidden in a civilian building in southern Lebanon. IDF spokesperson Daniel Hagari confirmed that the missile was destroyed in a precision strike by the Israeli Air Force (IAF) before it could be launched, and the terrorists were eliminated. The IDF has warned residents of southern Lebanon to evacuate areas where Hezbollah is operating, as further Israeli attacks are anticipated to remove similar threats.
