Zelensky Rejects Trump’s War Plan Involving 30% of Ukraine's Territory, Warns of Putin's Ambitions
Jul 21, 2024, 11:22 AM
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has strongly criticized former U.S. President Donald Trump's proposed '24-hour war stopping plan,' which he claims involves Ukraine ceding territories to Russia. Zelensky emphasized that Ukraine will never agree to such terms, as it would mean giving up 30% of its territory. He warned that Russian President Vladimir Putin's ultimate goal is to destroy Ukraine and revive the USSR under his control. Zelensky questioned the viability of a frozen conflict, arguing that Putin's ambitions would not be satisfied and that he has already sacrificed 500,000 Russians for his cause. Speaking to a Western journalist, Zelensky reiterated that Ukraine will continue to fight against Russian aggression, highlighting the importance of their sovereignty and territorial integrity. He also warned that Putin could potentially kill another million of Ukrainians.
