The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has approved a $1.1 billion tranche for Ukraine following the fifth revision of the Extended Fund Facility (EFF) program. The funds, announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, are intended to cover budget expenditures of a non-military nature. This decision was finalized by the IMF's executive board on October 18, 2024, after the board finished its review. The funds will provide budget support to the war-torn country.
