Japan has pledged $3 billion to Ukraine as part of a $50 billion loan initiative led by the G7. The funds will be repaid using revenues from frozen Russian assets. This announcement was made during a visit by Japan’s Foreign Minister Takeshi Iwaya to Ukraine, marking his first international trip since the formation of Japan's new government. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky expressed gratitude for Japan's unwavering support, emphasizing the importance of the financial and humanitarian aid for Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity. Additionally, Ukraine and Japan signed a cybersecurity cooperation agreement, as announced by Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.
