Pakistani Citizen Arrested in Canada for Allegedly Plotting Terror Attack in Brooklyn on October 7
Sep 6, 2024, 09:35 PM
A 20-year-old Pakistani citizen, Muhammad Shahzeb Khan, also known as Shahzeb Jadoon, has been arrested in Canada for allegedly planning a terror attack in New York City. The FBI and the Department of Justice have charged Khan with attempting to provide material support to ISIS and planning a mass shooting at a Jewish center in Brooklyn on October 7, the anniversary of the Hamas attacks in southern Israel. Khan was apprehended on September 4 in Quebec while allegedly preparing for the attack. He had been in communication with undercover agents in the U.S. and expressed his intent to kill as many Jewish people as possible using automatic weapons and a hunting knife. Attorney General Merrick Garland stated that the goal of the attack was to slaughter Jewish people in the name of ISIS.
