A 17-year-old boy has been charged with first-degree murder after allegedly shooting his mother to death inside their South Shore home on the South Side. The incident occurred as the woman arrived at her residence and unlocked the door, at which point her son, described as a teen gunman, reportedly opened it from the inside and shot her in the head four times at point-blank range.
