Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was stabbed multiple times during an attempted burglary at his 11th-floor residence in Mumbai's Bandra area early Thursday morning. The incident occurred around 2:30 am when an unidentified intruder entered Khan's apartment, leading to a confrontation with a household staff member. Khan intervened to diffuse the situation, resulting in the intruder attacking him, inflicting six stab wounds, two of which were severe, with one dangerously close to his spine. Khan was rushed to Lilavati Hospital, where he underwent surgery that lasted nearly two and a half hours to address his injuries, including a procedure to remove a knife lodged in his spine and repair leaking spinal fluid. The Mumbai Police have registered an FIR and are actively investigating the case, with three staff members detained for questioning. Khan's condition is reported to be stable and out of danger, with doctors monitoring his progress.
