Iran Unveils 'Missile City' Used Against Israel, Holds 110,000-Strong Basij Parade
Jan 11, 2025, 09:06 AM
Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has unveiled a new underground missile facility, referred to as a 'missile city' and described as a 'volcano lying under these mountains', showcasing the country's advanced ballistic missile capabilities. The base, reportedly used in previous attacks against Israel during 'Operation True Promise 1 and 2', was visited by IRGC Commander-in-Chief Major General Hossein Salami. Salami emphasized Iran's growing military strength and self-reliance, declaring that Iran has 'more missiles than it can store' and that new 'special missiles' are in development. He asserted, 'We act at the right time and in the right measure' and warned enemies to 'be cautious'. The unveiling comes amid increased military parades in Tehran, where 110,000 Basij forces displayed defense capabilities. Additionally, Iran has begun conducting air defense drills near its nuclear facilities at Fordow and Khondab, including the Natanz nuclear facility, as the country prepares for potential tensions with Israel and the return of Donald Trump to the US presidency.
