A fast-moving brush fire, known as the Sunset Fire, has erupted in the Hollywood Hills near Runyon Canyon, prompting mandatory evacuation orders for residents in the area. The Los Angeles Fire Department issued evacuation orders for an area bounded by Laurel Canyon Boulevard on the west, Mulholland Drive on the north, the 101 Freeway on the east, and Hollywood Boulevard on the south. The fire has burned approximately 10 acres between Runyon Canyon and Wattles Park and is spreading rapidly toward Hollywood Boulevard, putting homes and iconic landmarks at risk.
