Russia Launches Massive Missile Attack on Ukraine on July 8, 15-20 Explosions Reported in Kyiv

On the night of July 8, Russia launched a massive missile attack on Ukraine, targeting multiple cities, including Kyiv. The assault involved various types of missiles, such as Kh-101 cruise missiles, Iskander-M ballistic missiles, Kalibr ballistic missiles, and Kinzhal missiles. Ukraine's air defense forces managed to shoot down three out of four Kh-101 cruise missiles and none of the Iskander-M ballistic missiles. Explosions were reported in several regions, including Kyiv, Dnipro, Kryvyi Rih, Zhytomyr, and Cherkasy. The attacks caused significant damage, with smoke and debris seen in multiple locations. Emergency services were deployed in Kyiv's Solomianskyi District following loud explosions. Reports indicated 15-20 explosions and significant damage to civilian infrastructure. The missile strikes coincided with the start of the NATO summit.
