Ambulance Helicopter Crashes into Muğla Hospital in Heavy Fog, Killing Four

An ambulance H135 helicopter belonging to the Turkish Ministry of Health crashed into Muğla Training and Research Hospital during takeoff on December 22, 2024. The helicopter collided with the hospital's fourth floor due to heavy fog and then crashed into a nearby empty area. All four people on board—two pilots, a doctor, and a health worker—were killed. The helicopter was heading to Antalya. Muğla Governor İdris Akbıyık confirmed the fatalities and stated that investigations are ongoing. Health Minister Kemal Memişoğlu is traveling to Muğla to oversee the investigation. President Erdoğan expressed condolences to the families of the victims. Video footage of the crash has emerged.
