British Columbia Ends COVID-19 State of Emergency and Vaccine Mandates
Jul 26, 2024, 05:47 PM
British Columbia's top public health official, Dr. Bonnie Henry, has announced the end of the COVID-19 public health emergency and the pandemic state of emergency in the province. This decision includes lifting all pandemic restrictions and ending vaccine mandates for healthcare workers, allowing those previously fired to return to their jobs. The announcement comes just days after the BC Conservatives promised to end the health care mandate and three months before a provincial election. The restrictions had been in place for four years.
