President-elect Donald Trump has announced the appointment of former Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Director Tom Homan as the "Border Czar" in his incoming administration. Homan will oversee national border security, including U.S. borders across land, maritime, and aviation, and will be in charge of deportations of illegal immigrants back to their countries of origin. Trump stated that Homan will lead the largest mass deportation operation in U.S. history, which includes conducting workplace immigration raids.
