One person has died, four others are injured, and twelve people are trapped underground at the Mollie Kathleen Gold Mine near Cripple Creek, Colorado, after an elevator malfunctioned during a tour on Thursday. The trapped individuals, part of a tourist group, are approximately 1,000 feet below the surface. Rescue efforts are underway to reach those trapped in the historic gold mine on Pikes Peak.
