Temple Student Milan Jones Found Dead; Tymir Lackey in Custody

A Temple University student, 20-year-old Milan Jones, was found dead in her off-campus apartment on the 1400 block of Willington St. in North Philadelphia early on June 22, 2024. The Philadelphia Police Department reported that Jones, a nursing student, suffered apparent blunt force trauma. A suspect, 21-year-old Tymir Lackey, also a Temple University student and her boyfriend, has been arrested and charged with her murder. Lackey, a Philadelphia native, is currently in custody. The incident has shocked the university community and raised concerns about student safety in the area.
