One Dead, Nine Injured in Shooting Near TSU Homecoming Parade

One person was killed and nine others were injured in a shooting near Tennessee State University in Nashville on Saturday evening, bringing the total number of people shot to ten. The incident occurred just after 5 p.m. during homecoming celebration events, including the homecoming parade and football game. The shooting took place just blocks from the TSU campus as the homecoming game began. Metro Nashville Police Department officials reported that five victims were transported to the hospital by EMS, while another five arrived at the hospital later on their own. Police also stated that some of the individuals who were shot and are now hospitalized may be involved in the shooting.
