Sophia Rosing, a 23-year-old former business and marketing major at the University of Kentucky, has been sentenced to a year in jail for assaulting a black staff member and repeatedly using racial slurs. The incident, which was captured on video, showed Rosing calling the staff member the N-word at least 200 times before physically assaulting her. The judge ruled that Rosing will serve her sentence in protective custody.
