IDF Blocks IRGC-linked Qeshm Air Flight QFZ9964 from Landing in Beirut
Sep 28, 2024, 08:35 AM
The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have taken decisive action to prevent an Iranian plane from landing at Beirut Airport. Reports indicate that the IDF hacked into the airport’s control tower communications to issue a warning to the Iranian aircraft, identified as Qeshm Air flight QFZ9964. The IDF threatened to use force if the plane attempted to land, citing concerns over potential weapons on board. Following the threat, the Lebanese Ministry of Transport instructed the airport to deny the plane entry into Lebanese airspace. Consequently, the Iranian aircraft, affiliated with the IRGC and identified as a civilian aircraft, turned back and is returning to Iran.
