Seven Turkish Citizens and British National Abducted in Nairobi, Kenya
Oct 19, 2024, 12:17 PM
Seven Turkish citizens under UN protection were abducted in Kileleshwa, Nairobi, on Friday by individuals believed to be from Turkey’s National Intelligence Organization (MİT) in coordination with Kenyan security officials. The abduction is reportedly due to the individuals' links to the Gülen movement. Additionally, a British national was also abducted in Kenya. The Kenyan police, the UK Foreign Office, and UNHCR have responded to the incident, while Turkish authorities are yet to provide a statement. This follows another abduction of a Turkish national in Kenya months ago.
