FBI Offers $10,000 Reward for Information on Deadly Ruidoso Wildfires Ravaging 24,000 Acres

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for starting the wildfires near Ruidoso, New Mexico. The fires, known as the South Fork Fire and Salt Fire, were discovered on June 17, 2024, and have since ravaged over 24,000 acres. These wildfires have resulted in the deaths of two people and the destruction or damage of an estimated 1,400 structures, including hundreds of homes, forcing thousands to flee. The FBI is collaborating with local, state, federal, and tribal partners in the ongoing investigation.
