VisitWaymo Expands Robotaxi Service in San Francisco and Los Angeles, Covering 55 Square Miles and Peninsula

Waymo, the Alphabet-owned self-driving car company, has announced a significant expansion of its robotaxi service areas in San Francisco and Los Angeles. In San Francisco, Waymo's service now includes Daly City, Broadmoor, and Colma, covering a total of 55 square miles. Additionally, the service has been extended to a 10-square-mile portion of the Peninsula. In Los Angeles, the expansion includes Playa Vista, Westwood, Chinatown, and Hollywood. This move aims to attract more customers to Waymo's burgeoning business, supported by a recent $5 billion investment from parent company Alphabet.
