WADA has called for comprehensive reforms in the US anti-doping system, emphasizing the need for 'root and branch' changes. The agency has voiced serious concerns regarding the protection of clean sport in the US, highlighting that 90% of American athletes compete outside the jurisdiction of the World Anti-Doping Code.
