Jan 10, 2025, 08:58 AM
Ukraine conducted a targeted strike on a Russian reconnaissance drone storage facility in the Rostov region overnight on January 10. The attack, a joint operation by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) and the Ukrainian Navy, utilized SBU drones and a domestically-produced Neptune missile. According to a source in Ukraine's defense forces, the drones first overwhelmed Russian air defenses, allowing the Neptune missile to strike the facility near the village of Chaltyr. The facility was storing both ammunition and reconnaissance drones used by Russia to support deep strikes against Ukraine. This operation marks a significant effort by Ukraine to disrupt Russian military capabilities.
