VisitTwo Detained Near Kamala Harris's Brentwood Home Amid Palisades Fire Curfew, No Burglary Evidence
Jan 12, 2025, 08:06 AM
On Saturday, Los Angeles police responded to a report of a possible burglary at the Brentwood home of Vice President Kamala Harris. The call came in around 4:30 a.m., prompting an investigation. No evidence of a burglary was found, but two individuals were detained for violating a curfew that was in effect due to the nearby Palisades Fire. The detained individuals were later released as no crime was found to have been committed. The Palisades Fire, which has been raging and is only 11% contained, has led to mandatory evacuations in the area, including the neighborhood where Harris's $4.79M home is located. The wildfires have resulted in 5 deaths and have destroyed or damaged over 5,000 structures, covering more than 23,600 acres.
