Syrian Leader Ahmed al-Sharaa Announces HTS Dissolution at National Dialogue Conference and Kurdish Integration Plans Amid PKK Concerns

Ahmed al-Sharaa, the de facto leader of the new Syrian administration, announced that the dissolution of Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) will be declared at the upcoming National Dialogue Conference. This decision is part of broader reforms within the Syrian Ministry of Defense, which plans to integrate Kurdish forces into its ranks, emphasizing that Kurds are an inseparable part of Syria. Al-Sharaa also stated that Syria will not allow itself to be used as a base for PKK attacks, asserting a commitment to national unity and rejecting any form of division or federalism within the country. Negotiations with the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) are ongoing to address the northern Syria crisis, with a focus on maintaining Syria's territorial integrity.
