VisitSt. Petersburg's Pulkovo Airport Halts Flights Again Due to Ukrainian Drone Attack Near Luga Bay
Jan 4, 2025, 07:34 AM
Russia's Pulkovo Airport in St. Petersburg temporarily halted flight arrivals and departures starting at 7:45 a.m. local time on Saturday to ensure the safety of civilian aircraft, according to Russia's aviation watchdog Rosaviatsia. This was the second closure of the airport since the night, prompted by an attack by Ukrainian drones. Russian forces reported downing two drones near Luga Bay in the Gulf of Finland, which triggered the shutdown. The restrictions were lifted by 10:15 a.m. Moscow time, as confirmed by Rosaviatsia.
