VisitPutin Vows Response as Ukraine Captures 28 Settlements in Kursk Region, 121,000 Flee

Russian President Vladimir Putin has been informed by Alexei Smirnov, the acting governor of the Kursk region, that Ukrainian forces have captured 28 settlements in a surprise offensive. The incursion into Russian territory is approximately 12 kilometers deep and 40 kilometers wide. More than 121,000 people have fled the border areas, while the fate of about 2,000 people in the occupied settlements remains unknown. Putin has vowed to 'kick the enemy out' of Russia.
