VisitOpenAI, Financial Times Partner to Enhance ChatGPT with Licensed Content
Apr 29, 2024, 10:05 AM
OpenAI has entered into a strategic partnership and licensing agreement with the Financial Times (FT) to enhance its AI models, specifically ChatGPT. This collaboration will allow OpenAI to use FT's journalistic content to train its AI systems and integrate attributed content, including summaries, quotes, and links to FT articles, into ChatGPT responses. FT CEO John Ridding emphasized the importance of transparency, attribution, and compensation in this deal. Additionally, the FT was already an Enterprise customer of OpenAI before becoming a partner. The deal marks a significant step in OpenAI's efforts to improve the accuracy and usefulness of its AI models by incorporating high-quality, attributed information from a leading global news organization.
