The Gophers have now won eight consecutive bowl games and have achieved at least eight wins in four of the last five full seasons. In keeping with the Mayo Bowl tradition, Fleck received a 'mayo bath' following the game, exclaiming "Make it a double!" before tossing away his cap to take the mayo dump with no protection.
