In the early hours of August 17, an Israeli airstrike targeted the town of Al-Zawaida in central Gaza, resulting in the deaths of at least 15 Palestinians, including nine children and three women. The attack reportedly struck a shelter housing displaced families, leading to numerous casualties. The Palestinian Authority-run news agency WAFA confirmed the incident, which also left dozens wounded.
