Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei also commended the Palestinian resistance, saying that their patience and steadfastness 'forced Israel to retreat.' He noted that the world has realized this, and that 'in books it will be written that the Zionists killed thousands of women and children and in the end were defeated.'
