VisitIran's IRGC Bans Communication Devices After Last Week's Deadly Attacks on Hezbollah by Israel
Sep 23, 2024, 08:45 AM
Iran's elite Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) has ordered all members to stop using any type of communication devices following deadly attacks in Lebanon last week. Thousands of pagers and walkie-talkies used by Hezbollah, an ally of Iran, exploded in these attacks, which were reportedly carried out by Israel. The IRGC, which has 190,000 members, has launched a large-scale inspection of all electronic devices and is switching to encrypted messaging apps. The decision comes amid fears of similar attacks and concerns about the security of their communications.
