CrowdStrike emphasized that the outage was caused by a faulty update and suggested that it had minimal potential liability. The outage led to the cancellation of thousands of flights, impacted millions of computers, and affected Delta's 40,000 Windows servers. CrowdStrike's CEO personally reached out to Delta, but the airline did not accept their help during the crisis.
