China Launches HY100 UAV with 5.25 Tons Takeoff Weight, 1.9 Tons Payload Capacity, and Delivers First Three Units

China has officially launched the HY100, its first large-scale unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), which has a takeoff weight of 5.25 tons and a maximum payload capacity of 1.9 tons. The UAV entered mass production recently in Shihezi, located in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. Three units have already been delivered to customers, marking the first instance of mass-produced homegrown large-scale UAVs in China. The HY100 is a fixed-wing model with a maximum range of 1,800 kilometers and a maximum flight duration of 10.6 hours, and it boasts complete independent intellectual property rights.
