Hurricane Beryl, the earliest Category 5 Atlantic hurricane on record, has caused widespread devastation across the Caribbean. The storm intensified rapidly due to exceptionally warm ocean waters, reaching Category 5 status with winds up to 165 mph. Beryl made landfall in several Caribbean countries, including Carriacou and Union Island, causing significant damage, downing power lines, and flooding streets.
