Dec 16, 2024, 04:18 PM
Canadian Finance Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland has resigned from Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's cabinet after being removed as Finance Minister last Friday. Freeland announced her resignation on December 16, 2024, citing disagreements over fiscal policy and how to respond to U.S. President-elect Donald Trump's threat to impose 25% tariffs on Canadian goods.
