Azerbaijan Demands Russia Admit Guilt, Compensate for Plane Crash Killing 38 in Kazakhstan

Azerbaijan has demanded that Russia admit guilt, punish those responsible, and provide compensation following the crash of an Azerbaijan Airlines plane on December 25, which resulted in 38 deaths. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev accused Russia of shooting down the plane with a missile, claiming it was damaged by accidental shooting over Russian airspace near Grozny. Aliyev has called for an official apology, admission of guilt, and criminal charges against those responsible. Russia has not confirmed its involvement but has promised to identify and punish those at fault for the incident, according to Azerbaijan's General Prosecutor. The plane, which was en route from Baku to Grozny, crash-landed in Kazakhstan after being hit, as per Azerbaijani claims.
