Model and Actress Dayle Haddon Dies at 76 from Suspected Carbon Monoxide Poisoning in Bucks County, Pennsylvania
Dec 28, 2024, 08:36 PM
Dayle Haddon, a renowned Canadian model and actress, died at the age of 76 from suspected carbon monoxide poisoning at a home in Solebury Township, Bucks County, Pennsylvania. The incident occurred on Friday morning at around 6:30 a.m., following a 911 call about a man found semi-conscious. Haddon was discovered unconscious in a second-floor bedroom of a property on Phillips Mill Road, owned by her son-in-law, actor Marc Blucas, and his wife, Ryan Haddon. A 76-year-old man, identified as Walter Blucas, was also found at the scene and remains hospitalized in critical condition at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. Authorities determined that the carbon monoxide leak was caused by a faulty flue and exhaust pipe on a gas heating system. Two medics were taken to Doylestown Hospital for carbon monoxide exposure, and a police officer was treated at the scene. The home, built in 1711, was being restored by Blucas. Haddon was celebrated for her work in the modeling industry, appearing on the covers of major magazines and starring in films, as well as her activism, including her role as a UNICEF ambassador, and founding of WomenOne, an organization focused on educational opportunities for women and girls.
