Jun 13, 2024, 07:12 AM
Russia's invasion of Ukraine has led to the emission of 175 million tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2) into the atmosphere over the first two years of the conflict, a joint report released on June 13 reveals. This climate cost surpasses the entire yearly output of the Netherlands and exceeds the annual greenhouse gas emissions of 175 countries individually.
